Safe Haven Blog Tour

Nothing in Phoenix’s life ever went right. He never knew where his next meal would come from or if he would be safe going home at night. Desperate to escape, he trusts the wrong person. A different kind of evil wrapped in hope led him into the claws of a prison he might not survive.

Gryphon took a chance on a new life and ended up a captive. To his shock, he wasn’t alone. Twenty boys experimented on physically and mentally, few would ever see the light of day again.

A family forged in the fires of hell. Escape came, but at the price of losing more of themselves than they realized. They must depend on each other and new friends. No-one is expecting to find love, but love may find them anyway.

Their mission is clear: Find the people who did this to them and destroy them.

But some missions aren't always so cut and dry...

Hi I'm Sheri Lyn. I live in Florida with the love of my life, my dog Koda a Corgi/Dwarf Chow mix. I love living here and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

I just started my journey into the indie book world. I have books in several genres in the works. I'm an avid reader who kept dreaming of a story that wanted to be told and that's where my first book was born.

When I'm not reading or proofing, I'm at the evil day job where my sanity is tested on a daily basis. My sarcastic quips can provide a much needed break until I can return home to Koda and books, my two joys.

The title is pretty self explanatory. However, the kinkiness that goes on at the Quicksilver Ranch had me running for the shower just to cool off. When Becca was introduced into the story and planned on going out the the Dude Ranch, I was wondering what would even be taking place. When she runs into her old college boyfriend Tyler. Well, that just makes get turned on even more. Jared is his business partner. He is sex on a stick as well. I just though yummy and can I be Becca throughout the whole book? LOL The ranch is there to explore your sexual fantasies and Tyler wants to make sure Becca gets everything that she signed up for. I also met several secondary characters in the book that are also at the ranch for a kinky but fun getaway. I enjoyed the openness and wished there was place close to here like that.
If you enjoy books that really bring imagination and ideas to light. I suggest you check out this book. I'm into cowboys and kinkiness so this was a suitable and desirable read for me.

BLURB:
Quick Silver Ranch is no ordinary dude ranch.

After Becca Dalton finds her fiancé in bed with her boss, she ends the ill-fated engagement on the spot and quits her job. She heads to Quick Silver Ranch, looking to regroup before an interview for the job of her dreams--an executive position at a five-star hotel.

Becca's best-laid plans are ruined when she discovers the exclusive ranch is for consenting couples who spend their days and nights exploring their most wicked sexual fantasies. For Becca to remain at the ranch and take advantage of all the arousing activities, she needs a partner.

Her sexy college lover and part owner of the ranch, Tyler Carson, is willing to break all the rules, partner up with Becca and have her roped and ready for a week of unimaginable pleasure. But is a week enough to satisfy his desire for Becca?

R.E.D. FRIDAY

Groups have advocated the wearing of red on Fridays, in an event known as Red Friday, to show their support for all members of the armed forces abroad, regardless of the circumstances under which they were deployed.

I didn't really understand what RED Friday was. Not until I met Sharon Hamilton at a book conference and asked her why she wore so much RED. She told me to support all our soldiers. I was in complete shock. I had no idea that this could reach such a broad span of people. I try to wear red of some form on Friday. I am so thankful that she explained this to me.

I also know several people that are deployed within my distant family. My bf has 2 adopted sons that are currently serving in the military. I've met them and they are really cool young men. I wish them to be safe in all their endeavors.  My bosses husband Shaun is a veteran as well. He is more like a dad to me and I would do anything to show support for him. My friend Jackson Young served in the military and he holds this dear to his heart.

Ramblings about "A Weekend with the Authors"

I attend several book events throughout the year with my boss; Sandy Sullivan. She writes Contemporary Erotic Westerns. I have found within my endeavors and travels what events I love the best. I want to talk about Sandy's event and why I love it.

A Weekend with the Authors is a must every year. This is the second year the event will be taking place in Nashville, TN. Its so great that its a two hour drive for me. She started out having only 50 authors for her very first event. This year she extended it to 75 authors. A little bigger but still the intimate vibe that readers really want. We love that close connection where we can get to know the authors on a personal level and learn more about what drives them to write the books we live for. Its not just parties or a book signing. She incorporates panels, intimate chats, password game and a country music concert. Cover models come and talk with the readers and everyone has a great time.

All the raffle baskets go to Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Troop Aid and McKamey Animal Shelter.

Sandy puts on a amazing event each year. It couldn't be done without the help of all the authors, organizers and anyone else that helps. If you want to check out a local event that is a great price follow the links below.

Wild Wicked Weekend Ghost Encounter 2016

Most do not know that I am sensitive and can feel ghosts. When I mean feel all my energy is drained from me, I become very cold, sweating and deathly sick. I have learned to protect myself over the years but if the entity is strong; it will hit me a lot harder. Its hard to shake that off. Often enough I can see them. I usually don't talk about what is going on around me; I've been deemed as a freak. That is putting it lightly. I am always surrounded my skeptics. However, when I tell people what I see or feel they soon realize I'm not bull shitting. I attended WWW last year with my boss for a work event. We decided to go ghost hunting around the Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. She wanted to see if I could pick anything up. Of course, I did as usual. Its like I am a magnet for this stuff. My first real uneasiness was on the third floor I do believe. I am horrible at remembering where and I half the time. I visioned at prostitute being shoved off the balcony by a horrible man. I am assuming it was her "john" or a "disgruntle customer". It was one of the most horrifying things I have seen in a long time. We went to walk towards a staircase near the balcony. I got really sick and couldn't make myself go down it. I even started crying. We took a break and went around other spots of the hotel. One of the doors would open and close on its own. It was a exit to stairs if you didn't want to use the elevators. We tested the theory of a air draft. Nope not one at all.
We met up with a fellow attendee later on in the week. She was having horrible experiences in her room and felt frightened all the time. I told her that I would come and help her as much as I could so that she could sleep. I wear a hematite ring on my index finger to ward away negative energy. What I was walking into I didn't know. I soon found out. He was dark and morbid. Even typing about this now is giving me cold chills. One entity was living in the bathroom. She had a suite so it was off from her sitting area. He wasn't bad but just stuck there. It made her uneasy but I assured her that he was trapped and wouldn't cause her any harm. He really was only smoking his cigar in there. Its not allowed at all in the hotel. Maybe in the 1800's it was. LOL The dark & morbid entity that was living in the main closet is where I was off to next. I took off my hematite ring and put it in my pocket. I housed all the energy and made her claim her room back. After that she slept ok but he was still there. Little did I know the entity would remember me from 2015 when I went back this year.
WWW 2016 rolls around and we are headed back to the Menger Hotel. I have all my stones, tree of life necklace and my hematite ring. We go around on Friday ghost hunting. We walk by the room once again that housed the dark entity. I lay my right hand on the door and can feel the negativity coming from it. I then decide to put my left hand on the door. Remember, my left index finger is where I wear my hematite ring. I get shivers and cold chills running all over me. Its even more intense than the previous year. I think nothing of it and we decide to walk around other parts of the hotel. The third floor still creeps me out. The balcony and the one hallway where I can't even make myself walk down. We get done doing our own little tour and go back down to the lobby. I am sitting at one of the tables and talking on the phone with my BF. We are talking about this and that. All the sudden I hear a clank. I look down and my ring is on the floor, broken almost directly in half.

This was absolutely a shocker to me. I've worn this ring for over five years. I couldn't believe it was split in half. What was amazing is the haunted elevator opened right before it was broken in half. I literally said on the phone with Paul, WTF! He was even amazed what happened.
Saturday night rolls around and we decide to do more ghost hunting with another author friend and her husband. I was so worn out from the festivities that I decided to only wear socks. We heard footsteps behind me from boots. Which that shouldn't be. I had none on. Everyone else was in front of me. It was absolutely unreal at what experiences we were having. As we all ventured toward the third floor once again all the others decided to walk into the staircase I can't even attempt to get close too. As they walked through I had vision of the prostitute being dragged from there and thrown over the banister. I didn't disclose any of this until now on here. I was panting and in tears. I had moved from the left side all the way over to the right. I felt as though something was going to happen to all of my friends. I kept this information to myself. I have a tendency to not disclose everything until I really think back on it. Its as though I have flash backs.
My boss and I went our separate ways after this and headed for bed. It was going to be a early morning. Got back to our room and I head for the bathroom to change into my pjs for the evening. I lift my bra over my head and something hurts. I look down and I thought mascara from my previous crying was on my chest. Nope, it was a bruise. One that I never felt.  I walk out an show my boss to verify before over reacting. Which in my case at times I often do. She was like yeah, someone or something punched you. I snap a couple of pictures to have proof.

It was sore as all get out the whole night. The next morning I wake up and the bruise is completely gone but the soreness is still there. My boss also heard a loud bang on her headboard that night too. We were a end room. Nothing or no one was next to us.
Amazingly enough we didn't have anymore encounters that night or the remainder of the the weekend. I hope you enjoyed my experiences. If nothing else check out the Menger Hotel. It is a pretty amazing place.

Lipstick and Camouflage (Brandt’s Dozen, Book One)
by Frances Stockton
WLK synopsis
FS_LipstickAndCamouflage_400x600
Security specialist Travis Blake’s undercover assignment should be easy. The former Navy SEAL has to protect Cassidy O'Neal from an elusive assassin. Yet, nothing about this case is simple.
For Cassidy, it’s easier to believe in ghosts than to think she’s in danger. Despite a series of unusual happenings around her apartment that make her feel uneasy, she has no idea her hot new neighbor is far more than he seems.
What starts off as simple flirtation quickly turns passionate. But, as danger intensifies, more than just their hearts are on the line.

WLK excerpt
Maybe Justin was the reason she was so jumpy lately. He’d not exactly left that night with a smile and she’d wondered if he’d come back and try again.
Or, maybe it was something else, something unexplained. Ever since she’d gone to Salem and took Mike Smith’s place as the lead cameraman in a ghost hunt, something had been off kilter about her apartment and the building itself. Granted, they’d caught some amazing EVPs that night, but the experienced investigators in her group, Jerome and Sam, concluded what they’d caught on audio was residual and non-threatening.
If it wasn’t Justin Myers or a ghost, maybe it was that surveyor who’d staked out the neighborhood. He’d claimed to be doing a favor for a friend looking to move into the area and open a new business. She hadn’t believed him. That man had an aura about him that was mysterious and dark, maybe dangerous. She’d run him off, and as far as she knew, he’d not returned.
Frustrated, she snapped her book closed and set it aside, going over to check the last load of laundry for the day. Being Friday, she’d worked a half day and had plans to do laundry, eat rocky road ice cream for dinner, and continue reading Edmond’s tale of revenge, justice, and romance until he skewed his best friend with a sword.
Okay, she’d read the book a couple of times. Next week, she’d open up The Three Musketeers and have four book boyfriends, though her personal favorite was Aramis.
Yeah, like anything that exciting would happen to her, but one could dream a tale of fiction even if her day job wasn’t exactly the same as a French sailor’s false imprisonment or Musketeers saving a king from a treacherous cardinal.
Taking a moment to switch up her music, she chose her classic rock playlist and increased the volume, singing, well, mostly humming until her favorite line, “We were making it,” came out loud and clear.
As if it mattered how badly she was singing while pulling bras and panties out of the dryer and tossing them into the hip-hugging basket on the floor beneath the machine.
Slamming the dryer door home and picking up her basket, she turned to go back to where she’d been sitting when movement caught her eye. Whipping around, she saw a tall, impressively built man standing in the doorway, as if he’d stepped right out of the pages of one of her novels.
A heartbeat later, he came toward her, proving he was no figment of her active imagination and seeming to get bigger with every step. Unsure what to do, Cassidy threw her basket at him and rushed for the door, getting less than two feet before her bare foot caught his boot and she went tumbling.

My love for storytelling began in kindergarten when I created my first fictional characters. Though I’d given them simple nicknames, I’d convinced my family that Red Henry and Green Henry were identical twin brothers in my elementary school.
They were mischievous, rarely did their homework, had trouble with math and spelling, experienced heartbreaking losses, and yes, they even had girlfriends!
It wasn’t until the Henry twins mysteriously moved to a different state that my family realized that they were entirely fictitious and my mother suggested I write the stories down.
A few years later, I began to write, completing my first manuscript at age thirteen. I confess the heroine was a cross between Nancy Drew and a contemporary Laura Ingalls Wilder, who happened to be dating one of the Hardy Boys. But when I’d written ‘the end’ on the very last page, I’d known I had more stories to tell. Of course life intervened, but whether I was in high school, becoming part of a local theater and dance company, working as a Veterinary Technician, earning a degree in History and Secondary Education, or teaching, I was always writing and reading romances.
Finally, I met and married the love of my life and moved from Maryland to Massachusetts in 2001. Shortly after, I proudly joined Romance Writers of America and the New England Chapter, and I’ve been writing faithfully ever since.
