Review: OMG, what can I say. This is a wonderful love story. Jean has taken two characters and brought them to life in ways I never knew could happen. I laughed, cried and got angry. Her words written gave me hope that true love is not just a fantasy or fairytale. It's real and with Mike and Heather all you wanted to do was have them together. Two people that never gave up on finding one another. Mike and Heather have a history but past transgressions have kept them apart for 5 years. Both have moved on and are soon to be engaged to others. Does true love conquer all? Will Mike and Heather find each other before its too late? Will they both go their separate ways and never find out if what they felt all those years ago was TRUE LOVE?

Ramblings about "A Weekend with the Authors"

I attend several book events throughout the year with my boss; Sandy Sullivan. She writes Contemporary Erotic Westerns. I have found within my endeavors and travels what events I love the best. I want to talk about Sandy's event and why I love it.


A Weekend with the Authors is a must every year. This is the second year the event will be taking place in Nashville, TN. Its so great that its a two hour drive for me. She started out having only 50 authors for her very first event. This year she extended it to 75 authors. A little bigger but still the intimate vibe that readers really want. We love that close connection where we can get to know the authors on a personal level and learn more about what drives them to write the books we live for. Its not just parties or a book signing. She incorporates panels, intimate chats, password game and a country music concert. Cover models come and talk with the readers and everyone has a great time. 

All the raffle baskets go to Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Troop Aid and McKamey Animal Shelter.

Jax Jillian was born in Albuquerque, NM but before she turned a year old, her parents moved east to Harrisburg, PA where she was raised. After graduating high school in 1995, Jax attended La Salle University (1999, B.A., Communication), Temple University (2001, M.Ed, Sport & Recreation Administration), and Central Pennsylvania College (2005, A.A.S, Physical Therapist Assistant).

She settled in Philadelphia, PA with her husband and son before she became a writer. Jax found a passion for motion pictures at a young age when she remembers “getting lost” in films, and that passion ultimately led her down the path to writing. she loves “getting lost” in her writing and particularly loves writing heartfelt love stories with a touch of tragedy which she believes is the key to truly reaching readers.
